Championships are Won in the OFF Season
The major purchase for this project was 11 Power Racks. We are very proud of the new weightroom and we appreciate the donations that made this project a reality. We are looking forward to using our new equipment and we feel because of this major purchase we have now become one of the best weightroom's in North Central Ohio and one of the best in the state.
The new weightroom will be used by current and future players of Shelby Football. The weightroom has just been completed after using the prior weightroom equipment which was purchased 17 years ago during the tenure of Tom Stacy. A lot was needed in order for this project to become a reality. Head Football coach Chris Solis and Strength Coach Scott Harvey knew there was a need for new and more updated equipment because of the amount of athletes that were using the weightroom in order to enhance their performance in their sport of choice. Also new equipment was needed for safety issues. Because of the high demand in the weightroom Solis and Harvey knew there was a solution to get kids through their workouts quicker so that athletes would not have to wait for equipment when working out. Coach Harvey contacted a weight company the "Equipment Guys" out of Columbus to see if they would give us quote and sketch out a new weightroom with the new equipment. The weightroom was sketched out and a quote was given to Harvey and he contacted Solis to find a way to fund the project. Solis and Harvey has numerous donors for this project in order for it to come true, $42,000 was needed. Donors for this project were:
